These were the nominations for this quarter:


People Against Poverty

This Devizes based charity works with international and UK projects that they can personally engage with to help change lives by releasing communities from poverty. Two key local UK projects the charity asks monetary donations for:

  • Fresh food: This helps to distribute surplus food from allotments and supermarkets to those that need this via a partnership with local foodbanks.

  • Back to work: are actively working to help people overcome poverty by assisting them in finding and securing employment. The project provides resources like job clubs and support networks to help individuals navigate the job market and improve their employment prospects.

Chippenham Uniform Exchange

Recycling school uniform for children in Chippenham and the surrounding towns & villages. Easing the financial burden on families.

Be More Ben

To support bereaved parents who have lost a child to cancer or any life limiting illnesses. When the founder lost their child to cancer (aged 8) they found very little support. With the help of her grieving husband they created this charity to provide a safe space for other bereaved parents to talk about their loss to others who have gone through this heartbreaking experience with compassion and understanding.

Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary

Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary is a local independent charity that rescues and rehomes unwanted, abandoned and often mistreated cats and dogs. They receive no funding from the government and rely on the generosity and goodwill of supporters. They rescue and rehome around 800 animals each year.

Made a Mark

Made a Mark supplies memory boxes and supportive materials to acute hospitals and hospices in England to support children who experience the death of a parent (or similar caregiver) or sibling in the setting.

Bristol and Wales Cat Rescue

To rescue, foster and rehome hundreds of cats every year across the South West and Wales, cats which have been badly treated, abandoned or just unwanted. The charity is ran by a small and friendly group of volunteers dedicated to finding loving homes for cats and kittens in need. They rely solely on donations and every penny goes directly to supporting the cats. They are currently in debt to various vets to the sum of £5k and they have a constant stream of foster cats and kittens requiring shelter and food.

National Association for Bikers with a Disability

Worlds leading support group for motorcyclists with a disability. Their aim is to ensure that people with disabilities can enjoy the freedom and independence of motorcycling.

Irrespective of the nature of disability, whether due to injury, illness or genetic condition, the NABD exists to enable people with disabilities to have the necessary adaptations made to motorcycles, trikes, sidecar outfits or qua-cycles.
