Chapter Charity Support

In March 2025, GWC decided to change its charity selection process to involve chapter members more actively. Members can nominate charities here, and a member voting campaign will be conducted each quarter. The charity officer will present the results to the committee, which will then select the winning charity and agree on funding. The outcome will be communicated to members via email and listed on the GWC website. Below here a listing of the charities we have supported over time.

Q2 - 2025
Frome Falcons Football Club
Frome Falcons
Donation:
£500

Frome Falcons are in desperate need of financial help so that the club can continue to run their training sessions for children and adults with disabilities. It is a mixed-gendered and mixed-aged sport for people who cannot play any other forms of football. It is common for player in the sport to have disabilities like cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy and spina bifida. For many, it is the only active team sport they can play. It is played 4v4, inside a sports hall and players use their chairs to pass, tackle and score - just like the running game.
