The Great Western Rumble

We are really excited to invite you to the Great Western Rumble 2023.Let us tell you a bit more about it.

This year it will be held at an all new venue namely the Somerdale Pavilion at the former Fry’s chocolate factory in Keynsham , Bristol.

The new venue has top notch facilities including new showers and toilets in modern surroundings. Click here for a link to a video about the location.. You will be able to order meals including breakfast from the bar area and enjoy the comfortable dining area , so no more burger vans. There will also be the option of freshly cooked stone baked pizzas, so all your culinary needs will be catered for on site. A well stocked bar is on hand at reasonable prices. On site camping is available with a hard standing area for motorhomes and caravans ,but please note no electric hookups are available on site. An area has been earmarked for guests that will be camping in tents. Please view the attached video showing the pavilion and sports grounds to see for yourself what a fantastic location this will be for our rally. The weekend will kick off with a short rideout on the Friday taking in some of the sights of Bristol.

Later that day we have live music from  ‘Sam’s band’ who specialise in hits from the decades right up to date, so don’t forget your dancing shoes.

On Saturday after breakfast we will have the main rideout which will return about mid afternoon, weather permitting on the patio outside Dave Curtis will be keeping us entertained, and then on Saturday evening we have our second live band Echo Bandits who specialise in rock covers and again DJ Dave Curtis will be filling in between sets. After a leisurely breakfast on Sunday we will depart the site by midday. Our sponsor Riders Harley Davidson will have a discounted store on site all weekend. There will also be a raffle in aid of our chosen charity Headway who specialise in brain injury care. 

For anyone that requires a hotel there are three local ones in Keynsham which are the Old Manor House , the Crown Inn and the Grasmere hotel ,details of those are :

Keynsham also has a range of shops , coffee shops and pharmacies as well as a couple of supermarkets if needed.
