Meet up at Magor Services 9:00 am to leave at 9:30 am.
This is a Level C Ride of 120 Miles.
The outbound route (75 miles, circa 2 hrs) includes some very scenic views as we ride through the Brecon Beacons or as they’re now called “Parc Cenedlaethol Bannau Brycheiniog” for the purist!
From Magor we’ll head past Wentwood Reservoir, taking country roads to Usk, passing the prison, then past the old Steel Horse Café onto the main Abergavenny roundabout and our half way outbound stop at Costa Coffee just before Gilwern.
Then through Gilwern and track the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal via Talybont-on-Usk, up to Brecon and drop down to Libanus on the A470 and A4215 to Defynnog, joining the A4067 a stunning road not to be missed.
